Last days in Langkawi,

Langkawi is a beautiful island with amazing wildlife. This I have come across while driving around with a rented scooter through the mountains and the jungle. Monkeys crossing the streets and refusing to move away is just a normal phenomenon around here. I visited the Oriental Village, where I had to try to ride on an elephant, a thing I have never done and always wanted to do. This beautiful 35 year old elephant called Lafa took me through the jungle and I enjoyed every second of it! Nearby the village, a stable was located. Horseback riding through the jungle with the monkeys, snakes and galloping on the beach was the perfect way to start a new day.

The days on the island has been hectic. This sunday was spent with our diving masters and with diving. The cool thing was that we saw three sharks and one of them thought it was fun to swim around us.

Tomorrow, I'm off to Phuket on my own and I will leave my mother in Kuala Lumpur. Taru, a friend from Finland, will be welcoming me to Phuket and I will be staying at here place the whole week. She knows the place so she will show me the main attractions. Since she is working in a diving shop, I thought I could do some dives while I'm in Phuket.
