Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Leaving Cambodia was a bit sad. Feels like there was a lot of places that didn't fit to our schedule, which gives me a reason to return one day.

The flight from Phnom Penh to Kuala Lumpur departed on time and we arrived before noon. After a cheap bus-trip and taxi-trip, we arrived to our hotel, One-Stop Residence Hotel & Office. A over 200 roomed hotel based on spacious apartments a few minutes to the city center of Kuala Lumpur. Even though there is no breakfast to be served, the hotel offers plenty of facilities. My favorite is obviously the pool. So amazing to swim around on a roof top in the middle of a big city like KL. After a chat with the hotel manager about customer service and southeast asia, the thought of working in for example Malaysia wouldn't be that bad.

The first thing I did was to get changed at jump straight into the pool. Later on, the day continued with meeting up my dear friend Christina, who is also an exchange student in South Korea and has become a good friend of mine. Together with her friend Livia, we decided to visit the Menara Kuala Lumpur Tower, where we had the perfect view over the city. This tower is almost 400m high, which makes it the 4th highest tower in the world. There was a top 10 list, and of those ten I have visited only three so far: Seoul Tower, Tokyo Tower and now the KL Tower.

After our trip way up high, three bellies were screaming for food. In the honor of the Lunar new year, also called the Chinese new year, we decided to have dinner in Chinatown. The waitress was screaming something in chinese, and to protect his ears, he pushed two coins inside his ears. Does it work? No idea.
