One month left

How long have I been waiting for that day when I can say: "I´m off to Korea after one month!" It´s just getting closer and I have actually managed to get things done. On Wednesday I will be ready to face the Korean Embassy with all the papers they need and hopefully I will get the Visa as soon as possible. What I have heard, It should not take more than 2-3 weeks to get the Visa. There is some things I need to take with me to the Embassy, for example:
- Acceptance letter from Kyung Hee University
- Original student certificate from Arcada University of Applied Sciences
- Information on flight and accommodation (A copy of my flight ticket)
- Proof of finance for about USD 3000 (A paper I got from Kela last week)
Today I received an envelope with my International Student Identity Card (ISIC) that I ordered at the same time when I booked my flight.

Now when I start to look at my check-list, there is not that much left to do. Well done Meri!

Welcome letter and Course registration

I called my host university yesterday and the envelope came today with my Welcome letter from Kyung Hee University. I got two pieces of paper and some postcards. Is that all I get? Less paperwork for me, even though I have many things to do before I´m ready to leave. Next thing would be to visit the Korean Embassy to apply for the Visa.
As the heading says, Course registration. This was really interesting since the registration page is in Korean. After much clicking and thinking, I managed to register for 4 courses : International Convention English, Understanding Leadership, Understanding of International Manners and Cultures and Tourism Case Study. These were the only courses that got seats left and I still need to get one more course. I sent a few emails to the University so hopefully they can help me.

A lot of news ..

I have not been writing since the first post and a LOT has happened. First of all, I got accepted and I´m actually off to South Korea. Isn´t that great? I still can´t believe that this is all happening now. I just found out a few weeks ago and now I´m already busy with buying the tickets, applying for the Visa and trying to get it into my head that I´m actually leaving everything I got back home for one year. Whenever I receive the application letter, that my home institution is supposed to send me, I will let you know more.
