I actually managed to get myself the best language partner, my very dear friend Kevin, who is willing to help me learn the Korean alphabet. Together, we are practicing on the pronunciation, writing and just learning some new useful words. I can read and write three languages fluently, without a problem. Learning the Hangul language, makes me feel like I'm in elementary school again, or even before that. Practicing who to write, read and pronounce is something I haven't done in many years. Since the alphabet is quite simple, I hope that I will be able to remember all the characters before I go back to Finland.
Apart from that I'm trying to learn some Korean, two national holidays are coming up. Monday 5th of May, we celebrate children's day in South Korea, and Tuesday the 6th of May, it's Buddhas birthday. Koreans usually spend these days in their hometowns with their family. Since my vacation started already today, which means I have five days off, I decided to get out of Seoul. I will, with some friends, visit our Korean friends hometown and we are invited to her family's home. What an honor! We will visit three towns during this holiday, Pohang, Gyeongju and Busan. They are all in the South and close to each other.
I will write about the trip and upload pictures in the beginning of next week! Have a great weekend!
yeah obviously i failed to teach you :D
